What are the best educational toys for toddlers?
I am looking for neat, educational toys for my children, 8 (boy) and 6 (girl) for Christmas. Any ideas?
I told them that Santa was only bringing them stuff they needed. I hate toys that have a 100 little pieces that they lose in 2 days and then are no use to them, plus I hate toys all together. You can and i have said that i am Scrooge, but you don't have to clean up after them. I want to buy them things they need, like clothes, or stuff they will learn things from, like money counting coin banks or stuff that will keep them interested in for days on end, not 1 or 2 days after Christmas and the throw them in the corner. I am not made of money, don't have a lot of it, so keep it economical. I'm not cheap, just can't afford a whole ton of stuff. One or two really great presents is good and then all the littler stuff makes up for us not being able to buy them everything they want. That's one of the reasons i hate Christmas..it's so overrated. Everyone expects something and I hate when ppl buy you gifts and you can't afford to buy them one in return. Gosh, it's so stressful. Sorry for the venting but does anyone have any real great ideas for a low income family looking to buy their kids fun and interesting things for Christmas this year? Thanks.

I have a 22 month old. He is too old for the noise making, button pushing toys. He likes sorting, and toys that are challenging. Do any of you have suggestions of GREAT toys that are entetaining for my little guy????
